Assignments are graded and participants are given feedback to make sure they’re on the right track. Topics include: What makes a good video; Pre-production (how to get started); Framing and composition (how to shoot); The art of the interview (how to shoot and conduct interviews); B-roll (what is it, why we need it, and how to get it); Editing (3-session deep-dive on Premiere Pro including basic editing skills and strategy, using personalized templates, graphic and text manipulation, adding captions to projects, and exporting your video properly).

GUIDED

9 sessions. Each week, Gerard hosts an hour-long Zoom session that includes a 15-minute-long recorded lesson, a Q and A session, and a brief discussion about the next week’s assignment. Each lesson and a recording of the Zoom session are posted to a members-only section of thecrashcourse.tv. Participants have access to that content for a full year. Each week we provide helpful resources and tips. In the sessions on editing, participants will work with custom-made Premiere Pro templates they’ll be able to keep and use after the course is over. These will include an animation of your logo, and easy-to-use templates for different types of videos. The guided course includes a lesson on social media marketing and sharing so you can get the most out of your videos.
