The Crash Course is a 10-part course that empowers individuals and nonprofits to create engaging video content. You’ll learn how to create videos using only your cell phone. And we’ll teach you the rest, including how to: prepare for a video project, conduct interviews, shoot and edit video using your cell phone, and share your content on social media.
Each session is hosted by Gerard Matthews, a documentary filmmaker, and former journalist and nonprofit communications director. Gerard has worked with countless nonprofits, candidates, movements, causes, and artists to help them tell their stories. Engaging video content costs money and takes time. But you have everything you need to make your own. We can show you how. The Crash Course pulls from our experience in TV news, nonprofit communications, and video production to empower nonprofit communicators to create their own videos that build community, celebrate their work, and amplify their message.

You could pay a freelance videographer to produce one video for you $1,500. Or you can learn the secret to creating all the content you want for 1/10th of the price! It’s kind of like you can’t afford to NOT do this.
